Sorts and classifies

Sorting is a beginning math skill that introduces the concept of placing like items in sets according to attributes. Most children begin with sorting items by color or size. Focus on sorting objects by one attribute first, and then challenge your child to sort by more than one attribute (e.g., shape and color).
